We have always been committed to creating bags that are made to last and we are putting the same focus and dedication into becoming a more responsible business.

We understand that sustainability is not easy, that’s why we believe in being transparent and honest about our efforts to reduce our environmental impact. We want our customers to feel confident in their purchase decisions, knowing that we are doing our best to make a difference.

Materials

We are constantly researching new fabrics to find ways of making Healthy Back Bags relevant to our customers.

While achieving 100% organic and recycled materials isn’t always feasible, we’re well on our way. All of our prints from Autumn / Winter 23 onwards are made from 100% recycled polyester and printed with Oeko-Tex®approved dyes.

Charities Matter

CoppaFeel

CoppaFeel is a charity that is close to our hearts here at HBB. Since 2016, 50% of all profits from the sale of our Pink Ribbon Bagletts are donated to breast cancer charity CoppaFeel.  Our donations go to helping raise awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer.

Baby Basics

Since 2022 we have donated over 1300 baby changing mats and waterproof pouches to a number of baby charities who use them to help new mothers around the UK.

Pride in London

At The Healthy Back Bag, we champion diversity, inclusion, and equality. By backing Pride in London, we contribute to fostering acceptance and ensuring everyone can live their truth openly and proudly.

Barnardo's

Since 2022 we have donated over 1300 baby changing mats and waterproof pouches to a number of baby charities who use them to help new mothers around the UK. Good quality cosmetic seconds are sent to Barnardos and any excess stock is donated to charity.

Ocean Bottle

Our partnership with Ocean bottle means that for every bottle sold, Ocean Bottle funds the collection of 1000 plastic bottles. This improves livelihoods and supports coastal communities by providing finance, education and other social benefits in exchange for ocean-bound plastic collection. Check out the bottles here.

Manufacturing

Craftsmanship, quality and durability form the backbone of our manufacturing process.

We’re proud to say that we’re uncompromising in our commitment to nurturing long-term relationships with suppliers who treat their workers fairly and it is our company-wide mission to work alongside our global supply chain in safeguarding the working conditions and rights of the workers in the factories that supply our products. Our bags have been made by the same manufacturer in China for over 25 years and in normal circumstances we visit them 3 to 4 times a year.
